What I do is mix your paint color with Flour white glue and some ground materials like static grass or whatever your ground is.

I use this for my 1:6 th scale tanks, but should work for 1/35 and any scale really. Take bondo ( car repair goop that can be bought at any hardware store), comes with thickner. add them toghther with some brown colored paint or whatever dirt color you want. mix thoroughly and apply. It dries, leaving permanent mud!

Im going to have to try that one davidov as we keep a ton of bondo at our shop, what I dont like is the new hardener is now blue (once in while we get the old style) and the original was rust color a much better proposition for painting in my opinion. This is what I use and I think I got it from one of Shep Paines books. I take water white glue and a few drops of dish soap (reduces surface tention) rit dye, to get rid of the gray color (I paint it later) and some sifted real dirt. How sifted depends on your tastes as I like it fine and add rocks and stuff after its on the base.
