Nicely done Dwight. The rubble looks great and the building is weathered well and looks very impressive. Tastefully done too, despite the dead guys. Too often it ends up looking like a Tobe Hooper film or Sam Peckinpah extravaganza. You've done a great job on this one. I like the fact that you don't have alot of negative space on your diorama too. The space is used well and isn't over crowded or too sparse. You've found the happy medium. The architect in you no doubt.

The advances and improvements you've made over the short time that I've seen your work is exciting and in that future builds can only be better, if that's possible. I look forward to your new offerings and to see what direction you head in next. You do some pretty inspiring work.

phroosh: Well it would be a lot faster with ready-made plaster ruins but those are rather expensive if not hard to find here in Manila. Besides, you are right, it is more rewarding to do it from scratch. Anyway, thanks. One more thing, this is the last of the "reissues". Big Smile [:D]

. The next dio that I will be posting will be my 7th (also a street/alley winter scene) that I might be able to complete within this week.

J-hulk: If I remember it correctly you pointed out to me before that the hole in the machine gun barrel does not show properly. Well, I drybrushed it already and now it shows. Big Smile [:D]

zokissima: Well, I am glad you think otherwise. I felt the tank needed more dust but I didn't want to over re-touch everything.

Very nice. The debris (did you say it was from a clay pot) looks very convincing. Even though you don't seem to think that they are not weathered enough, I think they look like they fit right in. Very nice job.

Excellent work Dwight. I love your buildings, they inspire me to try harder with mine. It is tempting to just buy a plaster ruin, but more rewarding if you don't!

Last year I completed this diorama (my second overall) and posted the pics here. It received some comments and suggestions from the members of the forum. I took note of those comments and suggestions but it was only last weekend that I was able to do some touch-ups on it. I also mounted it on a more decent looking base.

The tank and the figures in the diorama are not really painted/weathered very well as this was just my second dio but anyway, I just want to share the completed work. This will become a reminder of what my earlier works look like. Big Smile [:D]

Anyway, the tank is the Tamiya 1/35 M26 Pershing Tank while the assorted figures are from Dragon. Everything else has been scratchbuilt from foamboard, cardboard, acetate, chopsticks, flower pot debris, etc.

The title of the dio is "Mopping Up" which is not really historically researched but I would just like to think that the scene would be somewhat from the Battle of Elsdorf where the Pershings succesfully fought with Tigers.
