Operation Chastise Dio
Posted by madspaniard on Thursday, June 24, 2004 12:37 PM
Smile [:)]Smile [:)]This is my Lancaster of the 617 squadron of Scampton airfield U.K
It was modified to take place on the bombing raid of the dams and industrial complex at the Ruhr Valley.
Two nasty things-
The background is horrible, and the ambulance is german, but it´s going to be replace by a Austin.Every thing is in 1/72 scale.
Hope you like it,it was my first dio .
I am sorry about the big size of the pics

Pedro

Pedro,

The build looks very good. The photographing the way you did it made it look like a WWII photo. All you have to do is replace the brick background with something else even if it is a blank.. Otherwise super job, congrtaulations.

Great job. It looks realy good. You did a fine job on all the models and the composition of the diorama is very good, too.

Nice diorama and photos make it even better.
BTW i have Lancaster B.III Dam Buster and it has stripes on a bomb. Looks bit like a garbage pin. Did you scratchbuilt your bomb or is it bought?

I am glad that you like it,I am going to try some pics with a better background, this one is bad.
The bomb on the plane has the stripes and you can see the cable that makes her spin, this was a rotating bomb, and it cames in this Revell model 1/72.
Thanks all of you ,for your nice words

Pedro,

Your aircraft, control tower, and vehicles are great, but I am very impressed with your painting of the figures in your dio. Great work!

Thanks Matrixone ,it was very dificult believe me,but i think they are ok,They are all Airfix
This is an english, reduced version of your great airfield, that I like a lot.I read that you are thinking of put some u.s soldiers, like they found an abandon german airfield.
In my opinion if you don´t mind,i like better,a full operational german airfield, full of pilots and ground crew.
Keep up your good work, and let see the new Hangar.
