Stukah,

Runway needed for the B26 with 38,000 lb gross weight at sealevel on a hard surface:
0mph headwind 2390'
20mph headwind 1680'
40 mph headwind 1090'

at the same windspeeds to clear a 50' object:
3590'
2670'
1800'

Again with 38,000 lb gross weight. On a turf or sod surface, at sealevel
0 mph headwind 2540'
20 mph headwind 1790'
40 mph headwind 1150'

same surface and winds to clear 50' obstacle
3230'
2770'
1930'

The higher the elevation the longer the runway needs to be.
(info taken from the B26 operational manual)

Given the scale of 1/48, unless you're into building really large dioramas I'd probobly not try to do the whole runway and maybe have an area that the aircraft is parked in, or near a taxi way or depict a segment of runway. This way you can comfortably and have something that will fit in a room and still include your ground personel and vehicles, gun emplacements, hangar buildings or whatever.
