I wanna make one too!!!

All these awesome dioramas make me wanna make one. Id like to make a basic one.

I would have one of those little boats that they used during Dday, the ones that landed on the beach, and id have it landed on a beach. On the beach, there would be a rock for cover, and id have foot prints leading off the foot path, and id have about 2 infintry shooting from behind the rock. Also some palm trees would be nice.

What woudl the aprox. cost of all this be?
Thanks!

Switch:

You are probably looking for this kit (for tanks, vehicles and infantry):
http://www.internethobbies.com/internethobbies/tr1wwusnalcm.html
or this (for infantry only)
http://modelingmadness.com/reviews/misc/hohenzylca.htm

In addition to that you might need to spend a few dollars on figures, paints and other materials for the trees and other stuff you might want to add on the beach like barbed wires, etc..

I am not familiar with prices in your area but I guess it would be under US$100.00

Good luck.

Two other option For the landing craft are as follows:
1/32 LCVP from Lindbrrg for about $14.00

Or the 1/35 LCVP from Fonderie Miniatures for around $36.00

For the figyres, you could use Dragon's Normandy sets, either 29th ID or US Rangers at Normandy for around $8.00 each

The dio would run you under $50.00.

Good luck.

I would suggest any of the dragon figure kits, as they are more or less ideal right out of the box.
As for the LCM, you've seen the options above. Were it me, I'd get the Trumpeter one, namely with it being new and easier to build. To boot, the ones from Lindberg and FM is pretty much impossible for me to find.
Anyone know where I can get the Lindberg one online?

It wouldnt be any beach in particular, it would be one out of my imagination.

I found one for 4 bucks online, wich looks pretty good. For a base, id just use a little peice of wood, wich ive got already, so save money there.

The only tank kits I have built or known that came with some infantry are:

Tamiya M4A3 Sherman (with 4 crew and 3 Infantry)
Tamiya M4A3 Sherman 105 (with 4 crew and 3 Infantry)
Tamiya Panzer 3 (with some German troops)
Tamiya King Tiger Ardennes Campaign (2 Crew and 1 German Soldier with a bike)

Also dragon has some figures sold separately.

Good luck.
