Check Tom's Modelworks & Eduard PE companys. I think Tom's has 1/48 & 1/72 PE carrier deck tie-downs. You have to add the wood planks. One fret of PE should be good for several aircraft. You might ask this question in aircraft forum. I don't have web info for Tom's. G.L.

Check out the below web site. I've got some of his photo etched tie downs on the shelf for use with a Tamiya 1/48th Corsair. Unsure of what the Japanese used, but you might give this guy a try.

Good luck...

I think Verlinden sold a photo ethced set of WWII carrier tie down strips at one time. Not sure if they still do, but it is a starting point for you. Don't have any detail photos, but Japanese carriers in WWII had all metal decks. Try posting this in the ships area and you will probably get a better response.

Need help with a Carrier Deck
Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, August 11, 2004 9:49 AM
I finished a Dauntless, and while it looks good with the cardboard Verlinden Carrier Deck, I would like to create a little more accurate represention of an actual deck. http://www.accurate-miniatures.com/gallery/sbd/html/keeley.htm The wood portions are not really a problem it is the steel grating? that has me baffled. Is there a method of creating it or does someone sell it. I have another dio that I'd like to start depicting a zero taking off. I'm also looking for details on Japanese Carrier Decks as well.

Thanks in advance for all your help.
