This shows the Regulus One on the ground during rollout on landing with the TV-2 control aircraft passing overhead with the Able Pilot controlling the missile and the Baker Pilot flyiing th planeCool [8D]





This completes the series in 1/72 scaleBig Smile [:D]

Scer16 - there is a wire coming through the backdrop and attached under the right wing. I have the photos such that you can not see it.

Frank - this particular subject was part of my life from 1956 until 1964 and in one way or another I was involved with all these dios that I am doing with the launch site dio that is just about finishedBig Smile [:D]

Thanks for the links to the additional photos. I take it you made the Regulus out of wood, right? Everything looks great.

I got to see a Regulus in person at the Udvar-Hazey center last year. It's a pretty impressive piece of machinery:

Lufbery - I have some good photos of the Regulus if you want them and yes, the models are wood and the small one has plastic surfaces.

BMdubya - LOL, actually, the chute is a half a whiffel ball with holes drilled in the edge and fishing line glued inBig Smile [:D]
