It's creative and the guy tackled fire for a live tank burning, not just knocked out. I wouldn't try to make fire

That is actually one of the better examples of fire in a diorama I have seen. Too many times it is shown as just a few wisps of white cotton with a little orange at the bottom. This looks good!

Defiantly two thumbs up for creativity and effort on a very hard to capture subject.

I actually think it looks good. Rarely do we see fire in diorama and I know it is difficult to achieve but this one is a very good try.

That is a goodlooking dio with a very hard subject...the setting, tanks and figures are excellent, and the smoke is the best I've seen so far.

Hey Reb, I think you're wrong.

This dio looks great. The tank, the figures, the groundwork and he did an excellent job with the fire and smoke. Like everyone has said in this post, it's not a subject that alot of us like to tackle. Simply impressive.

Doesn't look too bad. I saw this pic a while ago, and I think the guy did a pretty good job of it.

The long shots look pretty good, but when you hte larger images, the flames look like spaghetti or a mass of snakes. And this IS one of the better fire dios around. It's also a good reason to avoid fire in a dio.

Remember, if the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.

It looks great (from a distance).
Yes it does look spaghetti-like at close, but I believe a dio needs to be seen a 'big picture', not being examined thru a magnifier.
I think the 'fire' was made with a garlic-press, it's a technique also used by people who make those funny little figures with Fimo and stuff like that. They use it to make the hair.

I think some of you miss under stood my stance on the dio. I love the dio, I think it is perfect! I thought that the fire looks really good at distance, but when you get close it looks like playdoe. I think He nailed the smoke dead on. Its always interesting to see new ways of making fire.

Whoever did this should be commended for doing such a hard subject matter. Even if the closeups look like spaghetti, he or she had the guts to do it! We didnt! LOL

I built a dio with fire init before. I used nylon fiber like froma pillow. u can see the strands so mayber it needs a little refining but it holds its shape bettr than cotton. i like it NEways. heres some pics:

tell me wut u think...
