You might also be able to model the hedgerows themselves with green styrofoam as a base (you know, the stuff florists use), covered with spackle or celluclay, then add some dirt/lichen/moss and some shrubs/trees on top. I think there are some good scenes in "Band of Brothers" and also Saving Private Ryan" that show what hedgerows look like as far as scale and etc. Good luck, sounds like a challenging diorama!

Should be an interesting looking diorama. I know that Woodland Sceenic makes a whole array of different foliage types to be used for whatever is neccessary. I've seen a couple of shots of a Shep Paine dio with a Sherman ploughing through some hedgerows, and it looked like a combination of lichen and tall grass.
If it's tall grass, again a variety of things will work. There are plenty of commercial products, but you can take an old broom, or thick brush, and use the wiskers.

Hi Guys,
I'm planning on doing a dio this would be my 1st atempt at a big scale dio ive done a litle dio in 1/35th scale of a german para with a panzerfaust and a luger but any this one is going to be in the hedgerows of a sunken lane with a sherman being hunted by a ss hitlerjugend tank hunter team. My question is how would i go about creating hedgerow this will be all 1/35th any help would be most greatful
