Mjohnson, on this page, you can see my German Stronghold I built.

http://community.webshots.com/user/duke_maddog

Go to "Mark's German Armor" Album, and at the very bottom is a picture of my stronghold.

I wish I could get better closeup shots of it, but my camera cannot handle it. I used alot of extra parts, small models and soldiers to show a stronghold that has just been called to alert status against a possible attack; even as a supply truck had arrived, and a couple of motorcycle scouts were being sent out.

I simply used Pollyscale acrylics and some Testors enamels to paint and drybrush the base, and used Elmer's Glue thinned 50-50 with water to glue on the grass and gravel/rock to the base. I used Elmer's full strength to glue down the moss that represents bushes. The troops, furnishings, weapons and other accessories I glued down with CA glue. All the motorcycles, vehicles, guns and equipment is loose, so I can change things whenever I want to.

I hope this helps with a few ideas for you.

If it's resin, I use CA glue, if plaster, Elmer's white glue is wonderful. Generally any modelling paint will work (I use Model Master acrylics). I generally spray them black before applying the real colours (MM spray can works for me)

Hello everyone. I bought Custom Dioramics German Strong Point (CD146). I think it will be great in a dio. The problem is I have never worked with anything like this before. I am looking for any help with what paints to use, if I need to prime it first, what glues are needed for it. The general questions on how to make it look somewhat passable as a defensive bunker. Thank you in advance for any help that you provide.
