Jon the club. I've been looking for modern 1:35 civilians and mostly theey are out there, but WWII era. I plan to modify and modernize though.

HI all If 1: 32 is acceptable the look at model soldiers. 1:32 equates to 54mm.
Britans, the plastic toy soldier co, used to make children in their zoo and farm ranges, and a company in England called Pheonix made white metal victorian figures. Also try and source a company call Tradition here in the UK.

Big Smile [:D] Thanks Gino!

I will get out my ruler and check them out! I can more easily scratch more detail in than I can afford $40-60 for six figures! Banged Head [banghead]

Another option is Lexmark Christmas Village people and accessories. They are carried by Wal-Mart and Michael's Crafts that I know of. They are not as detailed as resin or other figures, but are 1/32 scale ( possibly 1/35) and they offer a wide variety to include lots of kids. They just hit my Wal Mart a couple of weeks ago with the extra-early Christmas items.

Tried the Hometown site again. I just didn't check out the right figures. Blush [:I]
Not all have images to display. But the style of all that I saw are strictly WWII and no later.

I need modern dress. So http://www.reynaulds.com/preiser/p_1-32_figures.asp?item=lngNumericSort looks to be it. I have received an email from them. The figures come as shown. Already painted. Now I just have to pick out the most useful...

Thanks for all your help! Big Smile [:D]

P.S. AND I also found some 32nd scale divers! B.U.M. manufactures them. Haven't found anyone who carries them. BUT I was just in time to scarf a set of twelve on eBay! Lucky timing! Cool [8D]

The Hometown site did not offer any pictures just prices.

That's strange.

When I click on each item, the detail page comes up with a picture. Oh, well.

Enjoy your modeling...

Check out these Custom Dioramics figures from Hometown Hobbies:

http://www.hometown-hobbies.com/custom_dioramics_figures1

Also, go to www.GreatModels.com and do a Manufactures search, select figures, and then you can browse any manufacturer's products. I would suggest ADV/Azimut since they have quite a few civilian subjects among their offerings.

Enjoy your modeling...

All I get from Squadron is Sorry! no items match your criteria. Narrow down your request and try again.

From VLS, Sorry, no matching products could be found. Try widening your search parameters.

From Verlinden, Your search - BLANK - did not match any documents.

I tried women , children, civilians, and then frogmen, scuba divers (for another diorama.) The most I found was two women on bicycles and two peasant women circa WWII.

I tried 32nd, 35th and "all scales". Mostly NOTHING was the response.

G scale is 22-point-something. That's too big for my diorama. 32nd is close enough if there is nothing 35th.

Train store's would be a good source, but could be expensive, check "G" scale figures.

You might try the Warriors site. I have their catalog, although it's an older one, but they did have figures of civilian adults, they might have added children by now. Good luck.

http://www.reynaulds.com/preiser/p_1-32_figures.asp?item=lngNumericSort has some promising figures.
But $20 for only three figures? And no kids. Black Eye [B)]

I couldn't get http://www.mk35.com/ to do much. When I input "civilians" all it offered was 50th scale.

Thanks for your help, guys!

You have given me more than I found with a Google-search! Big Smile [:D]

I have just been doing this on Great Models, Squadron, and VLS.

Search for 1/35 AND all of the following, one at a time
woman
female
civilian
child

You will get some children, usually with an adult. There are some modern, but mostly WW2.

I have seen many civilians on great models webstore. I think they were meant for WWII but they could aslo be used as present day. I am not sure but I think they were mad by custom dioramics. Just do a search on greatmodels for 1/35 civilians, or childeren.

hope this helps some.

This site has some in 1/32 scale, not much in 1/35.

You might try the after market railroad stuff but I dont know the scale conversions. The detail isnt always the best but its easier than scratch building. There might be some after market resin stuff also (though I havn't seen children, but its worth a look). Good luck.

35th scale civilians???
Posted by modelnut on Thursday, October 14, 2004 1:08 PM
This is a tough one I gather. Evil [}:)]

I am trying to build a diorama in 35th scale of a modern museum display. I need men, women and children in modern dress.

I would thankfully adapt figures in the appropriate poses. But all I can find are soldiers! WWII civilians I can find - but NO children.

I would even settle for 32nd scale.
