I am creating a 3' x 8' 1/35 scale diorama based around the 1st crash site in Somalia. I have a LOT of buildings (15). do i need to varnish/lacquer all the wood before applying spackle? will it warp if I don't?

They make a sealer for wood that you might want to use, But if the board is pretty think and being that large of a dio it should be then i would not worry about it just lay down a coat of primer and go at it

ya, if its pretty thick its not going to warp, but if it is thin, maybe 1/2 inch, just to be safe i would seal it. It never hurts to be safe.

I agree with rebel, seal it and you'll be on the safe side.
