Okay, here are some real early pics of the Stalingrad Dio's. What you see will make up the first two factorys. The building are from Custom Dio's and had to be scribed on the back side, because it was flat (no detail). Same thing for the metal doors, except I used styrene for that. I laid the vehicles out for scale, the other pics show what figs and armor that should end up being used (should...). The third factory dio will be mostly scratched, it will be a twisted metal mix of steel and rubbleCool [8D]. Anyways thats what I've got so far. If y'all have any ideas or see something that should not be in at this time frame just let me know.
Thanks.

tamiyamark,
I have seen that one at Wally world for about 9$, I think. Sound like it's time I pick it up. I held off on buying it because the critics said there was only one real battle scene, and no mention of the factory scene. BUT HEY, thats what I get for listening to those silly critics.

This might not be much help, but look out for a 1992 film called Stalingrad, made by the same german company that made Das Boot. This film is amazing, made to commemorate the 50 year anniversary of the battle for the city ,and beats that poor Jude Law effort hands down.

It has a masssive scene in and outside of the factory and could have some valuable reference material for you. If not, just watch the film anyway and enjoy!

I sure will, and thanks for the interest. Just to let y'all know, this is a massive under taking. I have 3 factory scenes planned, and 2 for Pavlov's house. Maybe more if things go well. When I get home in the morning I will post what I have so far.
Thanks

imornery81,
Wow I loved the last site you sent, I have never ran across that one. And it had two pics I can use and have never seen as well. sasd, great pic thanks. shroomy, sorry but the movie as far as I'm concerned is very loosely based on the book. Although a very cool movie, I feel it does no justus to history. But all that would be a very different forum. Okay by the power invested in me you all are now on the best persons in the would list...
Thanks for y'alls help.
P.S. BTW I post the two best pics I have, just in case someone else needs help with the Stalingrad factorys. I noticed that this is the only post in Dios about Stalingrad.Sad [:(]

Stalingrad factory pic needed.

Okay I have the buildings ready to paint, and the vehicles half assembled. What I need now are some better pictures of the inside of the factorys. I have the machine shop AM sets and would like to use a few of the machines. I have collected a very large referance library on the Eastern Front, but have only one picture of the inside of the Barrikady Factory, Stalingrad. All the other pics i have are of a destroyed factory and all you see is rubble. I would not ask for help in this area of the war if I had not first researched it myself. Any help will forever put you on my best person in the world list.Big Smile [:D]
