Thanks for all the comments guys. The leaves...that was a tough one seeing as how this is 1/48th scale. What i did ..was to create a homemade forest litter. I used some woodland scenics forest litter...some common kitchen herbs..some dry spaghetti spice..tossed in a bit of static grass a little burnt color and a little green. Then i mixed it well together...and took scissors and cut the pieces in the mixture in order to get them more to scale.
After mixing the forest litter..i took ordinary white glue..mixed with water..50/50 mix...and brushed it over the ground where i wanted the litter to stay. then i simply sprinkled it over the glued area until i got the look i was after. After you achieve the look you want...spray a coat over the top of the litter of glue and water..this will allow the litter to stay in place.

Very nicely done Mary. The leaves covering the ground really are a remarkable feature, and not something you see everyday. They provide a nice element of continuity through the whole piece.

Mary, that is so cool, I really like the trees, it's such a convincing effect, with all of the leaves on the ground, it really looks like fall, so far, so very good! Can't wait to see the end result! Cool [8D]
