braxat2000, so you've been a long time fan of my site, it's nice to hear from
you for the first time.
It's not "Art Instructor"'s fault, I believe he's done his best. There are many
contraints affecting his making of dioramas. Firstly it's material contraint.
Diorama materials are very scarce here - no Woodland Scenic's products
and the likes. Secondly it's budget constraint. He can't use "numbered paint"
such as Gunze's or Tamiya's because they're damn expensive. He has to
use industrial paints and mix all the colors by himself which takes time.
Thirdly it's time constraint. Unlike most modelers who work on one box
at a time, he has to work on 5 pieces of armors and dioramas (6-7 boxes)
at a time, all of which are expected to be finished in just 2 weeks or so.
Think of it this way, I want the best of both worlds - quality and quantity
and I don't mind trading off (some of) the former for (more of) the latter.
