Great build! The tank looks good, the figures look good, the snow looks great. I like the details like the drifts around the ammo crates and the footprints in the snow. Very good first diorama and a very good title, too! Thanks for sharing.

great dio! the detail and weathering are awesome!!! one thing though.... the tracks in the snow behind the tank look flat.....mayb press the tank tracks into the snow behind it. but other than that! great!!!

Looks great JK,personally I would have liked to add a supply truck or halftrack in there
just to be able to add more details and gear and give a bit more action to the crew in resupply. Overall though you achieved a solemn scene,everything blends nicely,
great build.

Hi Im new here to the forum but I just wanted to say that you dio looks really great. I was wondering how long you had worked on it and what did you use for the snow?

Well for your 1st dio you really have the basics down. The weathering, the ground work, the story, and the details are all nicly represented. My only suggestion, and remember it is just an idea, would be to add some rock/bushes/brush/filler in the dead zones. Now your dead zones are small and thats good, and that is why its only a suggestion. But basiclly if you had some extra goodys left over or just a rock here are there it would fill in some of the space between the action/figures.

(I also realize that in actuality all the rocks and filler would be covered with snow and therefore not seen. SO feel free to call me crazy.)

Also I showed this one to my wife, we have a 3 year old German Shepherd, and she loves your dio. Thanks to you I can go to the LHS and buy the Feldgendarmerie Shepherd set .

Thanks manray and skarpotchi.....(Glad I could help!!) The technique I used for the snow was one I found in this article http://www.missing-lynx.com/articles/other/create_snow_cheehongahn.html . It was very easy to do. Skarpotchi, we have an 8 month-old GSD. I painted the one in the diorama (getting petted) in her colors.By the way, when do these dogs start to settle down!?!?!?

Well best I can tell, only when they eat.. Ours has done the same thing for the last 3 years. Everytime we come home she go's crazy...I guess some things just will not change.

Thank You..! I just got back from IPMS 3 Rivers (Pittsburgh) where it took a Bronze...not bad for a "Newbie"! (I didn't think it would win anything!). Anyways, I appreciate the inpit!!
