Bow [bow]Bow [bow]Bow [bow] You make it all sound so basic Russ, but the truth is you are a creative genius, who has no limits. Beautiful work my friend. Semper Fi, mike

Another great one! Studying this one, I could hear the two standing figures arguing...
"It vas a volf!"
"It vas a rabbit, Fritzi! How many volfs are only zis big?"

Sufficiently dirty and nasty, with all the juicy details we've come to expect from you. Great stuff once more! Thanks for sharing!

Many thanks everyone, we all have different ways of doing things, different ideas and visions of how the finished model should look,we don`t all weather the hell out of our vehicles like I do,if we did it would be a pretty boring modeling community. This is what
gives us all a great visual variety to learn from, and no one is any better than the modeler standing beside you!
As a modeler Buff,I don`t throw anything out,my good wife gets a little ticked off at the sight of all this junk I save but I know it`s gonna come in handy down the road somewhere.
Yes Thad,as Kelly mentioned the barbed wire is just cut strands of screening, wish I could come up with some of that old metal screendoor screening, that stuff is excellent for barbedwire.

Superb work, Russ. I would never have thought of using the inside of a cookie bag like that.

Final product looks cool, Russ, very nice indeed! I think the barbwire is just plain ol' window screen cut up? This is a tiny one folks, I only wish I could do that small, mine usually start off like that, but as you see with mine, that always insn't the case! LOL

Thanks very much everyone. Smokin, firstly this isn`t a Verlinden kit,it`s scratched using
some chunks of builders insulation foam, the thicker stuff found at building supplies stores, and that is what I used to build up the sides. The foam comes in varying thicknesses in either blue or pink. For the amount you get in one sheet it`s quite the deal and makes your dio/vig light. This stuff can be shaped, sanded and painted with ease and drybrushes beautifully.

Thanks for the comments guys, it is all scratchbuilt with insulation foam Von then covered with corrigated tin made from the innards of a cookie package. Sandbags are made from kids plastercene, looked like smarties all over the thing before I got it painted, lol! As for skill Scer,it dosen`t come overnight,I`m 52 now and I started building
kits at the young age of 6 and I`m still learning something new everyday,it`ll come don`t be in a rush. It`s tough dealing with the rigors of everyday life and getting some building time in,guess I can`t complaine,I`m done with work and kids and I`m inbetween the next stage in life,Gramps,so time is all I have right now to build.

You've captured the dirty and muddy life of being in a trench. Even if it is a forward observation post. Your comment about not making another vehicle is quite correct. Sometimes a dio of just men in a combat scenario focuses more on the human condition in wartime. Very nice work. I wish I had the time you have to pump out works so quickly....lolWink [;)]

Every now and again I like to take a break from building vehicles and do something different as I did with the Normandy bunker "Washing Day+1".
This is a wwII German forward observation trench at the front.
