French town dio
Posted by Anonymous on Friday, April 22, 2005 2:23 PM

im just about done with the basics for the house, but i have to find some carpet from a dollhouse for the second floor. i have about 8 figures that will go into this. 4 us paras taking cover behind the tank about to engage the 4 german SS figures that were attempting to ambush the sherman behind the baracade and the side of the house. i wish i had a better camera so i could get some detailed shots. anything that looks like it needs adressing please bring it up, i need criticism!

edit* obviously its WIP with much still needed to be done. also, i wonder what happened with my links, oh well just click the hotlink for a tad bit larger pic

thanks for looking!

yeah, the rubble is going on after the figures are glued down becasue after that i will have a better idea of what space is left over. i also need to think of something simple to add in the front left corner of the road. even after rubble and figs, that space will be fairly open. any ideas as to what i could do to fill in that open part of the street?

Looks good so far , cant wait to see it finished. As for the empty space Id wait and see how busy the rest looks first it may need a little space , but if it still looks empy how about a bike and dispatch rider or a jeep and MPs?

that wont work becasue what is planned is an ambush scene with 4 ss troops waiting behind the baracade and the side of the house armed with panzerfausts. the airborne troops will be beside the tank peering arounnd it too see if its clear. ill try and get some pics with the planned figures so you can get a better idea.

here are some better pics with some work that i did today. i added the beginings of the rubble to be colored later and i put the figures in although they are not painted yet. they are a mixture of VP,DML and hornet heads.

im not positive about the position of the figs expecially on the german side, but its temp for now, ill figure it out when they are actually painted later on.

im also thinking about the possibility of some disabled jeep in the front of the road to show the dammage that the ambushers have already caused. who knows
