Star Wars AT-ST Dio,need advice

Theres nothing better than the real thing. Woddland Scenics also make dirt/earth material. For the Elmers you will want to dillute it with water and apply it with an old brush or spray bottle. Woodland also makes numerous landscaping products. You should try to find their website and browse their products.

For my AT-ST dio I just used Railroad grass sheet and a lot of litchen and just dirty'd it up a bit, will post a pic a soon as I find them on my PC (damn crashes).

where did you get the figures on the dio?

I might be wrong but the figures look like they are from the miniture game West End Games put out a LOOOOOONG time ago. They sold box sets of the figures. Every once and a while I see a set on Evil-Bay, but I have my sets so no need to buy them. Also there is a new company "Wizards of the Coast" I believe selling the new Star Wars minitures. They're alittle bigger, cost more, and only come one to a pack. BUT the detail is MUUUUCH better.

The figures on the dio are believe it or not Micro machines figures by Galoob? from evil-bay for about a $8.00, not to bothered about too much detail in the figures as it looks OK as they are.

One hint when grabbing 'the real thing' concerning dirt. Be sure to get fine sand, instead of normal. It should be - I reckon - the size of dust. If you use sand that is more rough in texture, it will seem that your AT-ST is walking through a cobblestone desert.
I get my sand from playgrounds (don't tell to anyone, it's just a handfull). Worked okay on my BMW Motorcycle pausing in the Nevada deserts.
