Diorama with live plants?
Posted by rcboater on Monday, April 25, 2005 9:52 AM
Has anyone ever done a diorama with live plants? Bonsai trees are a possibility, but simpler ornmetnal grasses and the like might scale well, too.

Just wondering...

i take real plants and use them. i don't think live plants would be a good idea. firstly, you need a solid base for your models, and real plants need loose dirt. then, if they do survive, they grow, and eventually, they'll start dirtying up and pulling apart the base from debris and roots

I would guess the watering of the "diorama" would be a little bit of a problem.
