Refuelling Trip
Posted by sasd on Tuesday, May 3, 2005 4:17 PM
I very rarely do the big German tanks but a friend had put this Tiger II together
and gave it to me to fix up.The rear idlers were out of whack and that threw out the allignment of the tracks on both sides. So having fixed that problem up I added two figures, mud, trees and ground cover.Didn`t want to change anything
on the tank except give it a wash and a drybrush and paint on some numbers.

Thanks guys, gotta remember though,I didn`t do much on the Tiger build itself. Hopefully Roy will sign on and give us a rundown on what he did to this thing.

Thanks Manray, I was pretty happy with the figures. The mud was made up of burnt umber acrylic paint, whiteglue, water and tea grounds.Aferwards tiny root branches were inserted into the mud and tracks. The dark green tree is a Christmas village item, the other was made by myself using the dark one as a guide. The leaves are various herbs
to give more colour to the scene.

Oooooeeee guys, thanks a million for all the comments! Zo,the light green tree was made of several pieces of varied lengths of heavy wire taped together with masking tape, shaped, painted brown and stretched moss in a two-tone colour was miticuously
placed in such a way as to make a canopy. This was my first attempt at this kind of tree.
Herbs were used to simulate leaves.
