tsk tsk Stukah. You don't want to give it a try yourself? Can't be that hard.Wink [;)] Nothing would round out the model building experience more than if you made a complete package of model and base.
Spare Time Hobbies over in Cocoa has plenty of balsa wood and I'm sure there is plenty of reference at the library.
I think you should give it a shot yourself before contracting it out. If not you might check the local IPMS meeting 4th Tuesday of the Month, 7:00 pm at the Cocoa Library. I'm sure one of the guys there might be able to do one for you and it would be easier and no doubt cheaper than having one built and shipped to you.

stuka, this would be a great start for a dio. All you will need is a base and either some clay or some tarmace material made by custom dioramics. Then just a couple of figs and mabey a jeep, walla there you go.

Well, I am not really an aircraft guy, so i cant really help you unless you have some pics. If it is a carrier, i'd leave off the jeeps.

Hey Stukah....I definetly would try it yourself. Below is the first diorama I ever tried. It ain't perfect, but I think it looks pretty good. It is all scratch made. The base is plywood, overlaid with drywall compound, and painted. I glued some sand in and carved out and filled with glue the pavement joints to look like a tarmac. Give it a shot, it is really worth the time and effort in the final reward.

Hey, thanks.....for the lights, I used rice bulbs (I don't know if there is a proper name for them, but that is what the dude called them at the modeling store!!).
I used painted straws as stands, and ran the wires inside them. I scratch built the lights out of painted paper and the clear bottom of a cookie package (Gave me a good excuse to eat all the cookies...mmmmm....cooookiesssss!!)
The rest was out of the box except a second trailer, which I don't think you can see in the pic.....and the fence which is sprue and screen off of one of the windows (my wife hasn't noticed......yet).
Anyways, I really think everyone should try a diorama...it is so much fun and a great way to display models. I'll post a pic of another one I did....just have to upload it.
Happy modelling!!!

Here are some pics of my second diorama....it is called Big Red's Retirement. I got the truck in a box of models at a garage sale....it had no engine, the windshield was cracked, no tires, and the decals were coming off. I stripped the model, took a lighter to the wheel wells to create the eaten body look, I made some rust with steel wool and some chemical out of the science lab at the school I teach at. The trees and grass are from an old paint brush and bamboo from the garbage at school. The hanging window seal on the drivers side is a painted elastic. It doesn't have to cost any money to make a great looking diorama. This one was basically free!!!!

Here...I even have pics of my third one.....this one I just finished....again, all scratch made. The turntable turns, and the overhead lights work, and the emblem on the back wall also is backlit.
I got this model at a yard sale for $3.00 Canadian (about $.50 US hahahaha). It was still in plastic!!! Anything is possible, if you can imagine it, you can build it!!!

Do a Google Images search for "jeep on carrier deck". There's a nice photo of a jeep pulling an Avenger on a carrier deck.
