You can see the B piller below. It is the bar that extends from the triangle on the lower area behind the driver's seat (between where the doors would be) up to the roof. All HMMWVs have this as part of their structure.

It is the second brake sticking up on this topless drawing too. From the left is the windshield, next is the B piller, behind the driver's seat.

Hope that explains it.

Hey heavyArty, thanks for the info. I mostly do modern jets so I'm pretty ill-informed when it comes to armor specs and mods. Such as the type of wheels used on the M49 and much of the inner detail of the Hummer. I'm not sure what you are refering to with the B pillar. What does it look like? Do you have a shot you can email me? Also as far as the type of tires on the M49 goes. I had to use a "quick replacement" for them since I was so far long in the project when my dog managed to chew up the kit tires and wheels when he wandered into my work room.
Thanks

Looks like they are coming along pretty well. Couple things I see though.

First off, M35 series trucks, of which M49A2C is, did not use the Bigfoot tires in ODS. The tires you have added are for a M900 series 5-ton truck. Currently, the latest model of M35, the M35A3 does use tires that look similar to the 5-ton ones, but are smaller. Further, there are no M49A3C's, the tanker version was phased out after ODS. Therefore, your model should have the standard 10-wheel setup with dual rear wheels as came in the kit.

On the HMMWV, it is missing the B pillar that goes beteween the front and rear doors, from the triangle piece to the roofline. All HMMWVs have this as it is part of the frame that holds the vehicle together. All you need to do is cut the doors apart and use the piece between them with hinge detail and add a few sheets of plastic behind it to beef it up some. This will give you the B piller.

Can't tell much more from the pics. Macro setting would allow more details to show.

Does your camera have a macro setting so you can get closer pics?

Cool [8D]
Here are some shots of my M49 ODS fuel tanker that is going to used in my diorama along with the USMC Hummer. The Tanker is the AFV Club kit and the Hummer is from Academy and has the Verlinden detail set. The figure is from Warriors. The only resin detail added to the M49 is the weighted desert wheels. The kits were painted with Tamiya and dusted with chalks after they were given an oil wash.
