Nuclear, not Nucular
A small squad of german troops in 1947 advance to attack a US force in the distance. The reason is simple, if they back off from the US troops, they get nuked, everthing is dead, the the ground has turned to hard rock, as the dirt and grass is burned away. makes you wonder how the massive mutated lichens survived though...

not bad for a first i'd suggest doing a bit of weathering to the vehicle.
and i like the soldier very well done for a first beat the crap out of mine!

the vehicle is weathered, just to the point that i want it (you can't see it here, as it is really subtle), and the soldiers are the result of around 3 1/2 years of doing them...just can't do faces....and i think i want to do more to that rocket launcher thingi-still don't know what it is...AA weapon?
but then all i had to go off of was a small 3by2 inch picture on the side of a box...these came with the Ausf D 3in 1 sd.kfz.251 kit...

hey i agreee i can do faces either and i can bareley paint figures i usually do 1/72nd scale models anyways and about your rocket launcher i cant exactly tell because the pic is blury but it almost looks like those explosive rods that were shown in "saving private ryan" i think they were called bagalores? but it doesn't explaine why the soldier would be holding them like a rocket launcher?
owell maybe when Pixilater or someone else sees it they can help you out , i cant really say right now! and so when they see it (even though its been a really slow week on the forum hopefully it'll pick up soon!

no it is not a bangalore torpedo-those are long poles that interlock, this is some sorta rocket launcher-it has around 9 barrels, a shoulder brace and two hand holds, plus a sight rail...

Nice dio, the whole halftrack looks a bit too gray, a bit color in the wheels, and lights , and a color contrasting gray would make it more spantenious, other than that, rockin job.

beav, I would like to make a suggestion. Next time you take some pictures, try using a blue or white background. You can buy poster boards at Hobby Lobby or at a art supply store. The dollies in the second shot almost blend in with your foilage. Other than that, your build looks great.

Medals are not "Won", they are "Earned".
