As a former infantryman, I don't think I'd risk whacking a live grenade with a baseball bat (or my rifle butt, for insatnce), because I treated grenades with so much respect. The shock of a whack with a bat might jar the grenade's fuse so much that it could explode in my face. Maybe a tennis racket would give it some extra speed!

that dio brought up a question.
if you pull the pin out of a grenade and then threw it up and hit it with a baseball bat within the detonating delay time, would the shock still detonate it?
great dio!
