It's hard to know what's politically correct in the USA anymore.

I´m really sorry friends, I didn´t want to create controversy wth this subject. In the reality I didn´t know that the term "Jap" is politically incorrect in the USA.
Cheers...

Yes Fabrio..we Americans have become so politically correct that it is no longer acceptable to say the word Japs, even though their former government attacked our nation (and many others) without warning, commited horrible crimes against the geneva convention and mankind itself. Not to mention the hundreds of thousands of allied servicemen who died fighting them. So now we can honor those brave men we lost by saying..Those nice Japanese soldiers shooting at our guys or something like that. Just remember, dont say Japs. Japs is a bad word. So Ill help everybody get it out of their system. Japs Japs Japs Japs Japs Japs Japs Japs Japs Japs Japs Japs Japs japs Japs Japs Japs Japs Japs Japs Japs Japs japs japs Japs Japs Japs japs Japs JAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAps...Taped Shut [XX]

Oh, I get it now...tree trunks. I read this thread a few days ago and thought of trunks as in luggage.

...I'm old too so don't be real harsh on me. :D

it seems from that pic of the dio that the walls gave more cover to marines than it did to stop their advance!

Well, Fabio-definately not Iwo Jima. Sorry I misunderstood your question. I'm old. I cautiously would say they used them in the Malshall and Gilbert Islands. I think the larger islands made seawalls uselesss.

Hi Trowlfazz, I know , but the problem is that I have a LVT 4 and I´ve made a dio base of Tarawa for it, but I´ve been discovered that they had not been used in Tarawa invasion. Now I´d like to know if the japaneses had been made more of these walls in another island.

Cheers
