When you say "runway" do you mean launch area or parking area? If it is the launch area you will have to show the shuttle cock and track. If you plan on having it ready for launch then the blast shields will be up. One good reference on how the deck looks is "Detain & Scale" books. They have several on modern carriers which show the launch area, deck area and arresting landing area.

As for 1/32 scale, I don't know of any carrier deck support equipment available. It wouldn't be hard to scratch build some of the equipment.

Good luck on your project.

Your wheel locks are a relatively simple square shape. Try using square stock styrene cut to length then just ease the square edges a little with sandpaper. I know there has been an add for tie down chains and tie down rings, in various scales, in FSM, don't know exactly who sells them, but they are out there. You may try a fine grade plywood for the base. Good luck.

Question [?] Hi, I want to build a diorama for a 1/32 F-14. I want it to be on an aircraft carrier. How should I make the runway? What material should I use? Also, is there any where I can get some ground support equipments such as wheel locks and missile trolleys. Thanks.
