looks great to me man, I don't think there is a problem with the guy on the ground, looked to me like he was pushing himself up off the ground... didn't think he was in a sitting position until I read the other comments, superb mate!

funny, the diorama im working on is not only not based on real surcumstances, but the soldiers look totally fake. Great humor. And guys, stop complaining about the soldier on the ground, he could be getting up or something. Broaden your minds *doomgrr says in a psychic type of way* Great diorama, and as Armour_freeek said, what'd you use for the grass?

The grass is actually some turf material from Woodland Scenic (coarse type) mixed with some chopped dried moss and other things.

Thanks for the remarks.

Thanks for the nice remarks.

Well most modelers I guess go for historical accuracy or base their dioramas on actual photographs. I on the other hand just go with whatever gets into my mind. I really don't do models for competitions giving me more freedom to try anything.Smile [:)]

Thanks for the remarks and comments guys.

Dave: The grass is actually some turf material from Woodland Scenic mixed with some chopped dried moss and other things.

Zok: I can see your point but I wanted to pose the soldier as if he has just fallen and just hit the ground. I have actually modified the position and if you look at it closely it is no longer in a sitting position as I have already extended the legs a little bit.

Again thanks for the comments.

Great work, Dwight, as for the figure on all fours...seems to look ok, so he's designed to be seated, even so, it could be said that he's just fallen, and his rump is still in the air as he's going down...great job!!

Very nice work Dwight. One comment. THe figure down on all fours, you probably would have wanted to actually modify the figure from the Dragon figure set. The figure is moulded to be sitting, and this is very obvious looking at it now, as it is in a very unnatural pose for being in the position that it is in. The body tends to move and place weight on very certain extremities, which is not demonstrated with this figure.

On the way to Berlin a group of Russian soldiers hitched a ride on one of the passing Shermans and I guess somebody was looking for some fun... Smile [:)]
Seriously...with all those pictures of Russian tanks packed with infantry...I bet somewhere, sometime some pushing and shoving happenned... :D And of course there will be finger pointing, too.
