An LVT Aligator from Italeri built by Bugsy from the island here and put onto a base by myself. I also added the figures and the light stowage.
This is one big vehicle folks!

I agree, thats is a beautiful piece. Is the "wet" effect on the Aligator done with glue?

Sasd, the Dio looks great. How did you get that Wet look? I just noticed one thing though, the water drops on the back edges, as well as the ones hanging off of the ropes look way too big. Hopefully you don't get offended but, if you removed the drops, it would look way more real. Perhaps there's a way to make them smaller? I'll shut up nowSmile [:)]Shock [:O]Black Eye [B)]

This vehicle has just come up out of the water so I wanted to portray alot of water still running off of the body,so to get the wet look I used Miracle Podge and clear nail polish
for the drops. I don`t know what size drops of water would look like in 1:35 scale but I
like the idea of water collected and running off. Originally I wanted streams of water running off at those points but opted out at the last minuite.
300th dio??? Really??? Didn`t think there were that many,LOL!!

Many thanks guys. A friend of mine in England sent me his LCM figs, can`t see good enough to paint figures anymore(sounds like me too),anyways after fixing some fit problems I painted em up with some ideas from Bugsy ,was pretty happy with the result. Thanks for the help guys!

Agree with that . Nothing wrong with the water at all . Some ordinary tube cement would work if you put a few drops on the edges and pulled gently them they would dry like drops of water.Cool [8D] cool dio

Thanks for the comments guys, the groundcover consists of a leftover piece of plaster from the rail tracks in the "Bridgehead" dio covered in ordinary dirt. A light sand picked up from Micheals was spooned on intersperced to break up the dirt colour and give it a little beach look. Real beach sand was used in the area under the water section, some of the beach sand around here is kinda like a greyish ash colour so is great in making a
Pacific Island beach. The bushes are backyard roots and the tall reeds or grasses are those wisk brooms that you can get from Micheals,in this case were supplied by Bugsy`s Mom!
All was glued down with white glue/water mix and an eyedropper.
