My latest everyone, just a plain Jane dio, nothng fancy, just a Firefly going down a country road, passing a abandoned Jagpanther. Kits used: Tamiya's old Jagpanther kit, with Tamiya putty for zimmerit, Dragon's Firefly, Tamiya's British Infantry On Patrol (although these guys are Canadian) Firefly has Ultracast Calgary Regiment Markngs, and an Ultracast Tank Commander. The base is the pink insulation foam, with tile grout as the ground work. The tree is from a railroad shop, with a section of round dowl to make it taller. No ruins here folks! LOL
Enjoy,
Kelly

Nice and simple, very well done. What did you use to make the camo netting on the barell of the Firefly?

Thanks guys,
Zok, the cammo is just plain old cheesecloth, actually it's a poultry stuffing bag, purchased at my local grocery store, two big bags for under two dollars. Soaked in a mix of green paint, water and white glue, then you wring out the excess gunk, and form it to what ever part you want, and allow to dry.

Sometimes the most simple of dioramas are the most stunning. Kelly, everything looks fantastic. Great work.

It's been suggested that I add some areas of tall grass here and there to break up the "evenness" of the grass areas, I just may go back and revisit the situation. As I was telling Russ, I lost interest in this dio build, and I pretty much rushed to just get the bloody thing done and over with, so right now I'm working on my first desert scene, using a Quad Gun Tractor that originally was going to go into this one!

very nice, a very effective dio.

I really like dio's that make use of different levels to introduce new perspective.

keep posting.

oh yes, there's lots to improve on, but when the inspiration's gone, it's gone....the one I'm working on now, still haven't got the scene in mind, I'm pretty much getting everything in order, the vehicles, figures, and misc items, then I'll go from there on the groundwork...most likely it will be the truck backing an aa gun into position, that or a couple of stone walls and have it driving by....

Kelly.. if you're asking me to choose either the one with the truck backing an AA gun into position or the one driving by.. I prefer the one backing an AA gun into position. But that's just my personal preference. Do keep us updated when you start on your next one. Wink [;)]
