Best Adhesive

I would think that those two choices you mentioned would be best. Why are you wanting to use something different?

Could use PVA white glue. The R/C Canopy glue would be ideal as long as you don't want an instant bond and can weight down the work (24 hour drying/curing time). A contact adhesive could possibly be used as long as it is styrene safe but my first choice would be the PVA white glue if you aren't keen on epoxy.

Thanks for the input Gents. I was just keeping some options open. I used the Super Glue the last go around because I was out of epoxy and using that amount of super glue was pretty caustic. It did bond better than the 5 min epoxy, which has a tendancy to separate from the wood if not enough adhesive is spread evenly (mixture was mixed properly). I saw some other contact cement and "Gorilla Glue" at a local store (Wal-Mart) and thought of other possibilities, and wanted to check with some folks on the forum. Thanks!

you could also use construction glue. most of it comes in those tubes used in glue guns, but ive got some in a toothpaste-like tube, which is more managable for that size work. it together damn near anything.

I use super glue.

I would advise against using Gorilla glue-- it's great for wood projects, but it expands as it dries and thus your model would be lifted off the base. It also stays on your hands for days if you happen to get any on you!!

Jeeves...Thanks for the scoop on Gorilla Glue...will definitely steer clear of it.
