Pak-36/Kubelwagen diorama "Abandoned"
Posted by Tigertankman on Monday, September 5, 2005 3:07 AM
Hey guys, would like to show you my diorama of a Pak-36 and a Kubelwagen.

The setting is eastern front in 1941, and the soldiers of the Pak were taking heavy fire from russian riflemen, all of a sudden, mortar shells start landing all over the place, one hits too close for comfort and knocks the sandbag barricade down, this scares the crew and they all run for their lives. A kubelwagen just happened to be passing by during all of this, some of the shrapnel from the mortar knocked out the driver, and the vehicle stopped, the men bailed out taking the wounded driver with them, and thats how I came up with this scene.

So, without further ado, my 1/76 diorama, "Abandoned"

Very well done! I love tiny-scale Dio's! I am planning one soon, but I can't get the base quite right yet. (I'll tell no more, it's a surprise!)

I would put some figures in there like running. You also mentioned that they ran out of the car, perhaps leaving a door opened. Could also throw in a helmet like lying on the ground from the rush.
Like the scene.
