Zaphod, glad you like the backdrop, they are photos actually taken at the airfield itself.

I especially like how the green of the grass matches the green in the backdrop. Good backdrop, by the way.

Here is the third dio in the Harrowbeer project series.

The scene is:

'A Westland Lysander of 276 ASR Sqn. sits patiently waiting at dispersal at RAF Harrowbeer for its next call to search for downed aircrew in the English Channel.'

276 ASR Sqn were based at Harrowbeer from October 1941-April 1944. During that time they were responsible for rescuing over 120 aircrew using there Walrus( See Dio 1) flying boats and instrumental in the rescue of many others by dropping liferafts and dinghys.They also helped to guide rescue launches and Naval vessels to the scene of stranded aircrew.
