Anyone know of a good method to make realistic trees like those found in the ardennes (winter 1944)?

You could try using fake x-mas tress, get a branch and then cut it to the size you want they look pretty good and with 1 small x-mas tree you can get 1000's of little pine tress.
hope this helps,

That's quite a good tutorial, I'll have to try that one as soon as I get a broom. BTW, does anyone have pictures of shell-splintered trees or ideas on how to make them?

neo

The January '05 FSM mag has a great dio of "the road to Bastogne" you might want to check out if you can. I believe the guy's name is Anderson that made it and he even mentions how he went about his trees.

Cheers!

I am building a dirorama of the Ardennes Front too. I am going to buy maybe some pine from Michaels and put some fake snow on it. If you need any advice we could share some info, i have some great sources to make things look realistic.
