I like a lot this ones by Verlinden,are in resin,very good,but a bit expensive.

Actually, I just ordered the Verlinden airfield carts for the display, although, the more I think about it, it might look more appropriate if, say, I had the engine hatches open and a detailed Jumo engine exposed, as if it were being worked on. I think I might perhaps order a Luftwaffe pilot figure (Sachsenburg), and have him climbing up into the plane, with perhaps another pilot or crew member standing off to one side. Thank you for the advice.
In photos I've seen of this resin hardstand after it has been painted and static grass applied, there seems to be a tendency to want to keep a margin of dirt/bare ground around the hardstand itself, which doesn't make sense to me. There would be no reason to clear the grass before laying down the planking, would there? It seems to make sense to have the grass growing right up to the edge of the hardstand.
