Okay, here are the figures I really need...

I've decided to do a small dio of my Fw190D9 JV44 Red 1 after capture (all known photos of the aircraft, from what I can tell, were taken after the airfield was captured by the Allies...the fire damage to the plane must have happened just before it was abandoned).  So, I need American GI figures in fatigues, at ease, no helmets, just hanging out, with one guy taking photographs, perhaps?  The dolly wheels under the tailwheel appear in all photos of the Red 1, so I think I'm going to have to scratchbuild it.  The hardstand won't be accurate (no such hardstand appears in the photos), but I'll take a little artistic license.  Any suggestions on good figures for such a scene?  Thanks!

well, in 1/48 you'll have to settle for tamiya's American infantry set. I think they're all in battle poses so be ready for some conversion work.

There was some really decent figures in the old Monogram B17 with bomb tractor. Quite a few were in fatigues. Also there was a set done by Hasegawa and one by Esci , both are weapons loading crews but they were modern dress. Might not be as difficult to convert those as the Tamiya figs.Hope this helps a bit.My 2 cents [2c]
