F-16XL diorama
Posted by inpw1 on Tuesday, November 29, 2005 1:02 AM

I dont do dioramas much, so this is kinda new to me. This is the kangnam 1/32 scale F-16XL kit wit alot of extras from verrlinden,Eduard, and Berney13 (donated a canopy).

This was done as a tiger meet bird from the 421st FS "what if" . It took aproximately 3 months to build the XL, and another month or two to build the base, and paint the figures, tool box, and finish it off.

Havnt quite come up with a title yet, but the idea behind this is the bird is getting one final system check before it flies it's mission for the day.

thanks for looking

beautiful work on a big and unique subject.  I remember when you posted the finished model, but the dio base really adds alot.  Great work, I can't wait to see what's next.

One thing to do would be to dull coat the figures a little.  They look a bit glossy.

Again, great work

chris,

I think your right, so I went back and put a flat coat on the uniforms (I used a semi-gloss) and they look much better.

zokissma,

Don't have a picture of the radar, but i can take one this weekend.

thanks all for the advice and comments
