Need help to find a schoolbus model
Posted by Anonymous on Friday, December 30, 2005 7:17 PM
I want to make a diorama using an old, beat up schoolbus, out in the woods.  I have everything I need except the bus.  Does anyone have any knowledge of school bus models??  I may have to scratch build it but would like a model if possible.

Thanks for any help or ideas.....

Will;

I did a small search and found that Revell did make a 1/24 scale kit. One is available (body only) on eBay. I have found a few similar items myself at local flea markets. Hope this helps.

Cheers;

Gregory

Hi Will,

You might want to see if this bus could be converted to an old schoolbus.

Good luck with your dio!

Thanks for answering my query.  I have decided to go ahead and just scratch build the bus.  I have some items that will work I think.

Actually you might find something in the model railroad sorts of things.  I have seen school buses in HO scale (1:87) and am fairly sure you might find something in larger scales as well, such as O.

There was a bus model in 1:35 scale, possibly aoshima? ... the title of the kit was S'Cool Bus. The wheels and tyres were totally out of scale but the bus body was good!
