Hi juniormodeler: i have been building models on and off for awhile, but have only really been "serious" about it for the past year or so. A friend introduced me to Fine Scale Modeler and I have been signed up for this forum for a few months.
Any idea what issue of FSM that was? Maybe I could get it from their back catalogue or something?
Thanks for the reply, by the way.

sory bout the a~ anyway, get a foam board that artist use, paint whit glue on it, sprincle sand on it, spray if with floquil concrete color when done, use artist oil paint, black, applied throgh somethin that can lay it out into little lines, press it down to simulate tar. for staint put down a drop of thinner followed by artist oil paint, black ot burnt sienna. in the one issue of FSM it told how to make runways for stuff like that......... how long have u subscribed? because that article would help alot. building a diorama for a sabre

Hi guys. A question regarding how to build a diorama for an F-86f Sabre.
How? and with What?
I have two sabres, a monogram and an academy, both 1/48 scale. The Academy allows you to cut the tail section off and build and dispaly the power-plant.

However, the academy kit is too cool to butcher, so i cut up the monogram kit and am modifiying it.
So, based upon the suggestion of another, Butz, I'd like to make a simple diorama for both aircraft, one being given the once over, the other just landed or ready to go.
Any suggestions as to how to appraoch this? Any suggestions as to web-sites or books i could look up?
I have never tried this kinda thing yet, so, be gentle.

please.
