That kit with the battery cart is a Monogram one, I think it would be a good one for a diorama, you can see one sitting to the right of the nose in many second world war photos, especially during the battle of Britain, they plug into a receptical on the bottom right of the cowling.

Wirraway;

You would not entirely be incorrect using a Jeep. You could pose it as an American group visitor. There are photos of the RCAF using Jeeps with the Roundel painted on the hood. There is a support vehicle kit for RAF with a starter/battery unit and a couple of other support pieces. It is packaged with Luftwaffe items, I just can not remember the manufacturer right now. I believe it is ESCI but I could be wrong.

As far as truck types. Bedford was another manufacturer that was heavily used. I am not sure of anyone manufacturing currently any British trucks in 1/48.

I know it is not a lot of assistance but I hope it assists somewhat.

Cheers;

Gregory

I am doing a 1/48 diorama for a spitfire and probably one for a Hurricane as well.  I would like to add a vehicle, but what to put in ?  Would a Willy's Jeep be accurate ?  I know about lend-lease, I'm just not 100% per cent sure they were driving around English airfields.  What else would work ?  Not much about on e-bay. I did bid on an AEC Matador fuel truck, but chickened out when bidding got to $37.00.  I have seen some old Morris Vans, but not sure what vintage they are.
