New project.

Hi everyone,

here is what I am working on next, I took my inspiration from a news pic I saw of a USMC patrol in Iraq. I have just put the base and APC together, both are in need of detailing. I plan to mount lots of stowage to the APC and add the 4 figure modern USMC set from dragon. The idea is to convey the  nature of urban area patrols currently being conducted by US forces. Let me know what you think so far,

Regards,

Darren.

Looks and sounds go so far.  I did a somewhat similar dio for a customer a while ago.  It was a USMC M1A1HC with a couple crewmen and 3 of the Dragon Modern Marines in Iraq on patrol as well.

I like it, and it's looking great.  The world needs more Marines on patrol, especially in 1/35 scale.  Let me know how the Dragon Modern US Marines set turns out.  I tried to put them together with a Trumpeter LAV, but I just couldn't pull of the camies.  Good luck, and good hunting... insurgents don't stand a chance.

Heavy Arty,
Thank you and...Wow! Thats great work, you have certainly given me something to shoot for. Very well done setting and the tank & figures look very impressive. If mine looks half as good I will have done well.

Chris, many thanks for your kind words, I'll post regular pics so you can see how I get on with those figures. I am not the best figure painter inn the world though....in fact I could be the worst!
