This might be really obvious, but.... has anyone ever done a D-Day diorama, in action sequence, on the beach? Maybe lot's of people have  and I just haven't noticed...

you mean has anyone ever done it?  or just here on the forum?  I think I have seen one here, maybe it was just Nord's, but I have definitely seen several elsewhere online.

I have seen several as well.  I'm sure there have been hundreds done in the 62 years since D-Day at Normandy.

Have you seen this museum? No closeups, but you get a sense of how big their dioramas are in the 3d virutal tour...

I dont know if it was considerd a dio but the dig red one museam in illinois has a d-day scene with the beach and landing craft that are one motors that move towards the beach and flashes that show gun fire and artilary  borages. But that was when i was 8 yrs old it was called cantigney park dedicated to the first infantry division. here i found a link about a  D-day  dio
