Planning on using Dragon's 1/35 LCSS (Light Seal Support Craft) in a 16" by 19" diorama. The LCSS will be disembarking Navy Seals at a river's bank in the Mekong Delta, Vietnam. I'm unsure how many figures to use and which figure set is suitable from Dragon. Is it possible to use a combination of them? Any photo sites for reference would be a great help. Thanks.

Dragon has 2 different Vietnam era SEAL sets, a LRRP set, and some other Vietnam figure sets that are perfect.  I did a similar dio a while back with the LSSC, SEAL set, and a downed Navy Seawolf UH-1C.

Here is mine (sorry for the pics, crappy camera at the time).

DML figures that would work:

SEALs

SEALs #2

LRRPs

Marine Recon

MAC-V SOG

Any of the above can be mixed and matched to get hat you are looking for too.

DML also does a VC set too.  Can't see him in the pics, but I have the squatting VC in the bushes on mine.

Thank's HeavyArty for the suggestions on the figures. Looks like I have alot of work ahead of me. When I can afford a good digital camera I'll be able to share some of my dio's.

Maybe it might interest you: Verlinden has some sets of VC including river boats and casualties.

Hey just to throw in somthing I read the other day.  I noticed in the past that DML's SEAL Team #2 has a guy with blue pants.  I always thought that odd until.  I read that SEAL's somtimes wore blue jeans because they were quieter than camo's when wet.  Never would have thought it.  At any rate I bought the DML LSSC several years ago and it came with one of the SEAL teams in addition to the two figures that came with the LSSC.
