Could it be the same or similar to this one?

thanks, it's close, but I contacted the Co and they said they only made 2 and both were used in nam. The military version was much larger and scare looking, and was claimed  to be triphibious.

Mark, thanks for the note, I did contact the manufactureres and un fortunately they no longer have the drawings in any form. Thay were very nice and sent me digital photos of a similiar but much smaller version that is in their area, and invited me to tour the plant. Sadly I don't have the skills needed to scratch build such a complicated vechicle. Boy I sure would like to see on in 1/35 scale! Where did you find a photo on the web?

Too bad they don't have the drawings anymore. This is the picture I found http://www.army.mil/cmh-pg/books/Vietnam/Engineers/pic-98.jpg it's a very interesting site http://www.army.mil/cmh-pg/books/Vietnam/Engineers/ch7.htm .

I'm afraid it's almost impossible to scratchbuild this vehicle from this one picture, too bad; I'd love to do one. But who knows, I'm going to try to find some more reference and maybe some day...

I have several pictures of "the tree crusher".  My squad rode guard on the two machines from Long Ben to Bear Cat in Viet Nam in 1967.  Send me your e-mail address and I will send you the pictures.  These are the three "wheeled" versions, steered by the rear wheel.  Wheels were like 6 bull dozer blades welded together to form the wheels.

Please send messages to renorat47@yahoo.

Thanks for joining this thread! In fact you just made me as enthousiast as I was when I first found out about these monsters. My plans to build one will be revived! Indeed the 3 wheel version, with the star-shaped wheels.

Must have been quite an impressive view when you first saw them in real life?

I’d really love to see the pictures you have.

You can mail them to markmeuleman(at)yahoo.com

Gennulmen, a very intereresting thread, caught my eye immediately. How come there is a model of the Minenraumer and no sign of this baby? I'd love to build a Rome Plow too, but thats also hard...

One thing - why mail the fotos, when you have such a cool forum to post them? I think the forum is here to share, so please share, I'd love to see them too, and I hope I'm not the only one. Thanks in advance and have a nice day

Paweł
