Thanks for the reply and info.

I'm just starting to get into dioramas a bit more than my usual car garage.

I received a brochure about Vallejo diorama mediums and some looked interesting.

I don't have many local shops to look around in, but I'll keep my eye open. Or I'll be shopping online as usual... well... ordering from my wholesaler soon after I see what they carry.

acrylic gel medium works great. Comes in several "finishes" gloss, semi gloss, flat, clear, translucent, opaque. You can mix paint or collorant with it to get different types of water, sculpts nice and is easily found at art supply or craft stores.

Ok, so I quess nobody used these products.

Has anyone used similar acrylic or latex products to form water effects?

If not, what do you use for forming ponds, rivers, waterfalls and snow?

I was considering the diorama mediums from vallejo, such as -

Still Water 26.230
Water Effects 26.201
Atlantic Blue 26.204 or Pacific Blue 26.203
Foam and Snow 26.231

By the looks in the pictures, they produce some really nice looking effects.
But we all know sometimes not everything is as seen in web photos.
