Looking at this makes me feel miserable! Makes me glad I'm comfortable here in my model room with plenty of heat outside if I want it. I love it! Absolutely stunning! Heck, I kinda even want to buy it! LOL

That is freak'n awsome, man! You really captured the feel of that movement. It almost makes me shiver with cold. I espically like the GI holding his rifle in his right hand.

Many thanks Greg,good to see people getting some ideas from this stuff. I didn`t post the dio of the six pdr in action in Ortona as it was a redo,I changed it from an American dio to a Canadian dio,the American version being posted here previous,but being Canadian as yourself I can post it if you would like to see it.

Russ;

Post it!!! Your work is fantastic.

It's quite funny actually, I just received that kit and the updated Bren Carrier for my anniversary gifts from my wife. Ahhh nothing like styrene. She received her favourite type of gift as well two new teacups from England that I bought from an antique dealer online. So a fair trade.

Well almost, her teacups have a nice large 7 shelf glass door display case (she uses one everyday mind you they're not just for show) however my models have yet to grace anything more than a shelf in the basement......hmmm...have to work on that.

Cheers;

Gregory

Well first of all these are the recent American figs from Dragon,wanted the fig in the longcoat espeacialy.I then decided the setting and was thinking of cold,snow,white and snipers so I tried to use white broadcloth to simulate white bedsheets that were used by GIs as cammo,didn`t work too well so went back to kleenex tissue.

Ok, how'd you do the clothes on these guys? Or are they actually from the kit? Great work as always Russ.

For goodness sake, do something from North Africa, we are catching our death! Big Smile [:D]

LOL!

I really like this one. I think the trees are really cool. You feel kind of lost and by yourself in this dio. I also think your fig painting is top-notch.

Thanks very much guys,no I never was there,too young,born when the Korea conflict took hold but I guess there`s something to be said for a little imagination plus too I`ve expireanced extreme cold and whiteout conditions during my working years.

WOW!  Everything just looks soooo cold and miserable!  Looks like you were actually there to experience it BEFORE modelling!  You really capture the imagery and details!
