                        As the war progressed and an aireal bombardment of cities began the Nazi regimes buildings of glory and splendor soon became nothing more than monuments of rubble,perhaps the odd treasure could be found.

                        As of this posting I have done this month six dios to even my amazement,one is a six pdr being manned in Ortona,not too much to that one,so this is it for now until something new gets built and pics get taken.Sorry for the spelling,not one of my stronger subjects .This dio btw is one that will be going to our year end show this fall. Thanks everyone,glad you all liked it.

                        Nuts,you printed some banners out for me,now I gotta rip this place apart and try and find em,great!! The chain is from jewelry and the figs are a mix of Tamiya and Monogram.The truck is the Heller version.Many thanks guys.

                        No,they weren`t,damn,got a feelin they got put into a kit and I had forgotten about them! These banners were made from paper strips with 1/72 scale recognition flags(decals)added to the bottoms.

                        Thank you very much for the comment but there are a great many wonderful modellers on this site as well as on other sites. I am still learning and will always continue to learn new things.I did not get to this stage in my building overnight,I began in the 70s and learned from Verlindin and Paine,now I learn from everyone. I suppose I do have alot of time on my hands for a retired guy,model building is one heck of a hobby!

                        Next time you do one of these "splendorous" models, would you mind giving a step by step on how to paint the bases.  I've got a few verlinden bases and I'm afraid to start them in fear of ruining them. 

                        Your dioramas are great and I'd love to get one to look half as good as yours

                        Thank you all for your comments,Oleander13,without going into a huge reply here I can tell you that only the buildings,sandbags and the brick in the road are the only painted areas,groundcover is not .I do use alot of dry stuff in my grounds,once I get the look I want I freeze it with white glue and water.

The furthest away from my hometown as far as modeling is concerned that I have participated in is Calgary and I wasn`t even there in person,the rest of my modelling life has been in Prince George and Victoria,both are in British Columbia,Canada.

                        There are a few other builds farther down the list by myself Pandeiro,thanks for taking the time to have a look.
