Battle of the Bulge Diorama idea

There were several instances of US Engineers blowing up bridges directly in front of German forces.  In fact, one such occurance happened directly in front of Lt. Col. Jochen Peiper, commander of the infamous 1 SS Panzer Korps responsible for the Malmedy Massacre. 

The best Battle of the Bulge reference I know for all of the different situations where these sorts of bridge actions took place is "A Time For Trumpets," by Charles B. Macdonald, who participated in the battle and later became the Chief Historian for the US Army.  There are only a few photos, but there is a complete listing of all of the units involved on both sides, their composition and the names of all of the principle soldiers on both sides.

The M1 model is ready but half of the Hulk figure went missing. If I remember it correctly, my daughter played with it and returned to me only the upper torso.

How's Sushi in Japan these days J Hulk?  I haven't been there such a long time and I'm starting to forget what REAL sushi really taste like.  Nothing like a fresh Uni with quale egg on top!  Yummy~

Small U.S. Combat engineers did make Germans miserable in many cases and I wouldn't be surprise if there were instances where they blew up the bridge right before the German troops arrived.  I like the idea and would love to see your progress!

Sounds like you are trying to build the Our River bridge scene from the Battle of the Bulge movie.  The idea is good, I suggest just making the Axis tanks or the Allies but not both.  Its going to be pretty big if you put both sides in the dio. Just my .

Firstly, I can't remember if there was an exact incident in the Battle of the Bulge similar to what you are planning to portray in your diorama but I am not sure. You can read the story here if you want to check it out:

Secondly, I have done a few dioramas and I think the one you are planning to do (if we consider realistic fighting distances) would be a big one. You may want to refine your story so that the space required would be much smaller and ideal.
