The soldiers took a long time.  But the Iraqis were really easy.

The added camera news crew was a nice touch also.

" "viper_mp - I also forgot to mention, the M88 has a scratchbuilt interior. " "

I can see a little something through the doors on the side. Did you remeber to take pictures before it was all glued down? I'd like to see the interior details.

I remember watching that on TV back in 2003 and I told my roommate I had at the time, "I'll betcha there's a million modelers watching this and getting ideas for a diorama!"

Yeah, they are all verlinden civilians.  I modified some of them to look different.  As for the M88, it has been weathered.  I studied the video and several photos, because the whole event was staged, the M88 was washed down prior to the event.  So it was fairly clean.  And they removed all soldiers gear from it as well.   As for the soldiers, some are a little shiny for some reason.  they have received flat clear though.  But they are far from clean.  When you get close, everyone, including civilians, are dirty.  Mostly a mix of sand/mud and grime.

I also forgot to mention, the M88 has a scratchbuilt interior.

I know its been discussed, and with the M88A1 [and M88A2 if you can get it] available, as well as Verlinden's release of the Saddam statue and several Iraqi sets, it was only a matter of time.  When I got my M88A1 from AFV Club, I already knew what was goign to happen.  A statue and 31 figures later, I give you the Fall of Saddam.

M88A1 - AFV Club
M88A1 photoetched - Eduard
Statue, Iraqis, news crew, and 1/3 of soldiers - Verlinden
remaining soldiers - Trumpeter, Dragon, Tamiya
