Well the wife has been bugging me to start a project she wants me to build. I keep putting it off due to the fact I have never made a dio with trees . I will be building a dio of the 101st Airborne (My old unit :) ) during the Battle of the Bulge. I am not sure what types of trees they are , if I can find them pre made or will i have to scratch build them . Any help is appreciated. Thanks again :)

Check out railroad layout section of your hobby shop.  They have ready-made trees that you can buy.

If you want to make them, check out the Diorama Features section at Armorama.

Pine trees I think.  Best resources is to watch Band of Brothers for tree detail.  You can get those pre-made trees from train hobby shops.  I am also going to be building 101 Airborne (screaming chicken Big Smile [:D]) in Bastogne with 75mm howitzer.  I got the archer transfer decals for the unit patch and looking forward to do this.

Here's a link to an article I did about making your own your spruce/pine trees for under growth:

and the results in a vignette.
